Instead of creating something classic where the teacher knows where the button is to help the student, they change everything to make it kawaii.

the teacher will have to study the program every year, instead of taking the time to study other programs, they'll be stuck studying just one area.

for example, i loved office 2003, but they ruined the design by changing the entire design, button positions, settings, UI, UX, colors, etc.

they really have no love for what's old and working and want to appeal to the new smartphone audience, since those who use PCs are users of another niche and not the smartphone niche, where everything has to be a pretty UX, UI, etc. and on PCs everything had lots of options, buttons, settings, positions, bars, panels, etc.

we can see this in a number of programs, which have "improved" but only worsened in the eyesight of those who used a pc in the 2000s with windows xp.

well what i like about macos it's the sound while i'm typing ,because I use in ear headphones I would like to know if i can enabled when I use word 2021 under windows 10

Even had Comcast send out Replacement Gateway modem, and it worked fine for from 12/1-12/8, then Gateway updated Firmwire back to 6.3 version again, and back to what it was

Reviewing some sites, I also read that Bitdefender Premium Security has good protection rates & is light on system resources.

What do you guys think: stick to and renew ESET, or jump to Bitdefender or an other security suite (Kaspersky, Norton or a different one)?

Started this Robocopy file transfer last night of a folder on This Desktop to 256GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash drive---Still transferring at this time even,  is that normal?    first time ever using Robocopy, previously just used WIndows 11 File Transfer Dialog and let it go for 24-48 hours when i updated this little flash drive,  but decided to try Robocopy, but still seems slow to me

There is an M365 subscription with OneDrive storage (I think 1 TB cloud storage; can this be expanded? And what are the costs?). Or are alternatives such BackBlaze or alike better? And which one is afforable and easy to use and to work with?

The notebook in case is constantly connecting with WiFi (and no dial-up) with a broadband cable connection.

The notebook is brand new, so with W11 installed and equiped with (probably) an i7-13700H, RTX 3050, 16 GB RAM & 1 TB SSD.

I came up with a solution by replacing the .lnk files on the desktop / start menu with powershell scripts that will check to see if the "close" application is open and close it, then launch the other application. My script is as follows:

One of the issues with this is the user could just search for the application in the start menu and launch it that way. As an alternative to my above solution I was thinking about configuring a scheduled task that launches on startup and checks every so often to see if both of these applications are running and prompt the user to close one.

and now when I try to remove it  but it isn't listed under Programs and Features in order to remove it.

So how I remove it from my desktop please? Avast detecting it as some maleware or something and I not want it on my computer. The restore point did not help even though it was sucsessfull. It didn't come up with the reboot in system tray but its in there as I still not uninstall it. I selected to have it to NOT STARTUP on its application.

I have purchased an used Lenovo Ts440 - E3-1245 - 32gb Ram and I am still trying to figure out the best approach to use it as a Virtualization Server.

My goal is to actually run VMs on the server ranging from:

• CentOS 7+, Ubuntu 20.04+, Windows Server 2019+ Essentials or Standard and some on demand OS such as Windows 10 Pro to do remote desktop and work on specific stuff.

I was looking at both Hyper-V & Vmware Esxi (Free version) to run as the main OS and I was wondering if some of you have comments, suggestions about this approach.

Right now, I am using a small 2bay NAS for NFS, dedicated i3 SSF PC for my Web Development stack and EasyBCD on my workstation for multiboot VHDX OS images.

Sadly the EasyBCD approach still left all my HDD visibles to all OS and can't run them on background.

what's a good alternative to Adobe Acrobat Pro (to edit, password protect files [printing allowed], combine, merge, key in PDF forms etc) for a reasonable one-time down payment  (including upgrades and/or upgrades to higher versions) or subscription-based with all updates/upgrades included?

Also, some handy tools like Photoshop or InDesign might be part of the deal, but are not mandatory to me.
