System Cleanup Prior to September 26th--Do I Need Microsoft Defender for Individuals that Came with Office 365?

Question:  Do I need Microsoft Defender for Indivduals app?   Activated it a while back to try out,  but wondering if i really even need it activated for This Desktop,  Gaming Laptop and Android Phone?
