Please no, I beg of you, Exclusive: Star Trek Kelvin Timeline Show In Development

I'd rather have a mirror universe series than this.

Does this mean all the complicated legal issues with the rights between the movies and shows have now been resolved? Because as far as I was aware, the movies and TV Shows had to maintain distinct timelines because of who owns what between Paramount and CBS...

I believe they all got resolved fairly recently.

I use to hate JJ-vese but it's grown on me. Lots of potential in a series if they can distance themselves from enterprise/tos characters. The tech we saw, and they intentionally made it this way, looks to be on par with post-Voyager... it could be a winner if it can stand on it's own without relying too much on the movies. There are a lot of interesting what-ifs they could dive into with 24th century tech on thier ships, crew in the 2250s... as well as shine light on a number of things barely touched on from that timeline as well as a post-vulcan setting and the knowledge that romulus is gonna go super nova in a centry.. I'm all for it, and best of all, they have no concerns about violating canon.

Yes. It's been this way since the end of Picard Season 1, Discovery Season 3. They can mix and match to their hearts content, no more 1/5 difference.

Well... That explains a lot I guess...

This won’t bode well for Star Trek if WB gets their hands on it.
