Agreed, but of that entire goodness of a movie... The most stand out scene of them all... The beans around the campfire scene!

Laughed so much I puked!

you may have to explain the campfire scene to our stateside brethren, it was deemed too offensive in the US and was cut from cinema release :)

timeless classic movie.

Also the cockpit scene in airplane, cracks me up every time!

  1. The expanding biomass taking over the base scene in the Soviet sci-fi Per Aspera Ad Astra. I was scared shitless for several days. Once I recovered, I began experimenting with creating my own obedient biomass by mixing my mom's body lotions with toothpaste and whatnot :D
  2. The shape-shifting aliens scene in the Soviet sci-fi the Guest from the future.
  3. The King Kong looking thru a window in King Kong 1973. Again, was so scared for several days that I was unable to approach my room's window at night for several days!
  4. The artificial heart transplant scene in King Kong Lives.
  5. The ending scene in the original Planet of the Apes.
  6. The final prayer scene in the Beneath the Planet of the Apes.
  7. The Alien, the whole movie.
  8. The Aliens, the whole movie.
  9. Terminator 2, the ending scene.
  10. Back to the future, the whole trilogy.
  11. Star Wars, the original trilogy.

Probably my favorite scene is from Inglorious Bastards ... the tavern.  Such a great scene IMO.

The most unforgettable scene is this one from Twilight Zone (1983)

Not really that "unforgettable"...right.  That is unless you are 6 and a half years old.  My evil parents took me to see this movie...at the theater when it came out.  This scene...right here...freaked me the (you know what) out.  I'm talking about screaming up the aisle to GTFO ... out.

Matthew McConaughey's "Interstellar" seed was kinda planted in Contact, only in reverse. In Contact, he's staying and she's leaving him.  Yes, those were different kinds of relationships, but still I believe there are many parallels in both films:

Spoiler

catching a signal, deciphering it, then starting a journey.

I love Contact (the book is better), but I do wish someone had told her how to correctly pronounce "primer".  Hint, it's not "primmer", how she said it! :p
